Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the Smilecreator of Naples, tells readers that mouth health is scientifically proven to be a contributing factor to heart disease and indicates that dentists have an important role in their patients’ cardiovascular health.
Naples, FL, July 31, 2019: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new blog on his website entitled, “Your Dentist Should Be Part Of Your Cardiovascular Health Team,” in which Dr. Hernandez talks about the important role dentistry plays in heart health.
Dr. Hernandez writes, “Have you ever heard the expression that, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”?” He continues adding, “I know many young women of an older generation were commonly told that by their mothers. Those young women were inspired to learn how to cook in order to attract a husband.”
According to Dr. Hernandez, “The fact of the matter is that the way to anybody’s heart is through their mouth. I’m not referring to the yumminess of the food that gets put into the mouth,” he says, adding, “I’m talking specifically about oral health and the kind of bacteria that is dominant in the mouth.”
