Nilo A. Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, Owner of Smilecreator Of Naples Discusses The Cause Of Cardiovascular Disease In More Than 50% Of All Heart Attacks.

Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the Smilecreator of Naples, reveals that a biological dentist can discover unknown, underlying health issues that could help his readers strengthen their immune systems during this pandemic.

Naples, FL, July 28, 2020: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new article on his website entitled, “It’s Time To Entrust Your Heart Health To Your Dentist.” Dr. Hernandez reveals how a simple DNA test could be lifesaving.

Dr. Hernandez states, “Clearly, you would not go to a cardiologist to find out what’s wrong if you have a toothache.” He goes on to add, “But, if your dentist is a biological dentist who employs the BaleDoneen method, you definitely would and should go to your dentist to find out if you have or are at high risk of having cardiovascular disease. This dentist could also tell you if you are at risk for a stroke, dementia or diabetes.”

As Dr. Hernandez points out, “The mouth is the gateway to the entire body. And more and more it is becoming understood that high risk periodontal pathogens cause heart disease.” He emphasizes, “Your dentist is the only medical professional that can tell you if you have the high-risk pathogens responsible for the number one cause of death and disability.”

According to Dr. Hernandez, “In fact, periodontal disease may be an underlying and potentially treatable cause of about 50% of all heart attacks.”

“As a biological dental practice,” writes Dr. Hernandez, “we employ and follow the BaleDoneen Method to incorporate the study and prevention of the link between heart disease, strokes and gum disease.  Many silent, underlying diseases of the mouth, like old failing root canals, have been proven to contribute to elevated chances of having a severe stroke or heart disease.”

Dr. Hernandez asserts that, “Cardiovascular incidents are preventable with proper care and attention to the underlying causes such as diet and other forms that contribute to a healthy lifestyle. We use DNA testing to discover if you have the high-risk periodontal pathogens that indicate a risk for the diseases that are at the top of the list for causing death.”

Dr. Hernandez points out that, “What most people do not know is that there are roughly 60,000 miles of arteries through which blood flows throughout the entire human body. The heart is the muscle that pumps the blood, but the arteries are the delivery system. So,” he adds, “having a heart attack or a stroke is not just about blockage in the main arteries leading to the heart or the brain. There could be blockage anywhere in those 60,000 miles.”

Nilo A. Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, Owner of SmileCreator Of Naples And Best-selling Co-author Suggests An Important Frequent Habit To Help Protect Against COVID19.

Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the SmileCreator of Naples, writes about the important role a healthy mouth health plays in disease prevention and proposes that oral health is particularly relevant in light of the current worldwide pandemic.

Naples, FL, April 21, 2020: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new blog on his website entitled, “How Excellent Oral Health Can Help You Fight Off Viruses,” in which Dr. Hernandez elaborates on important habits to include during the pandemic.

Dr. Hernandez writes, “We are in the midst of a worldwide pandemic like humanity has never experienced before.” He continues adding, “COVID19 is in the spotlight and we must take the suggested behaviors about social distancing, handwashing and keeping hands away from the face seriously. However,” he states, “there are other habits that are not being talked about that can also make a big difference in protecting you and your loved ones from the virus.”

“As a dentist,” says Dr. Hernandez, “the more I thought about this situation, the more I became fixated on the role a healthy mouth can have in this global health challenge.” According to Dr. Hernandez, “The health of the teeth and gums are major factors to be considered in the positive or negative outcome of the disease transmission process. If teeth and gums are well maintained and healthy, you’ll have a much better chance of not trapping harmful bacteria or viruses.” He goes on to say, “However, when teeth have cracks, pits and faulty old dental work, and when gums are inflamed due to periodontal disease, then you are at a much higher risk of having contaminants stay in those crevices, and for longer periods of time.”

Nilo A. Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, Owner of Smilecreator Of Naples Talks About Some of the Reasons Why He Doesn’t Use Metal Implants In His Practice.

Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the Smilecreator of Naples, talks about titanium versus ceramic implants.

Naples, FL, February 28, 2020: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new article on his website entitled, The Mouth Is The Perfect Environment For Conducting Electricity, in which Dr. Hernandez talks about how metal implants in the mouth conducts electricity.

Dr. Hernandez writes, “If you have children, you know how important it was when they were little to keep them away from electrical outlets and cords.” He continues adding, “Kids love putting things in their mouths. That’s how toddlers explore their new world. And with so many digital devices in our world, all of which require chargers, there are even more ways for a child to get into trouble with electricity.” He emphasizes, “The mouth is the perfect moist environment for conducting electricity.”

“As a holistic dentist,” says Dr. Hernandez, “I talk to my implant patients about this topic on a regular basis. I do not use metallic implants for that very reason.” He elaborates, “The body conducts electricity, and in the mouth, titanium implants can not only conduct electricity causing vibrations in the jaw and head, but also many patients may have allergic reactions to metals.”

Dr Hernandez explains why people prefer to work with a holistic dentist, writing, “In my experience, people who prefer going to holistic dentists naturally favor mercury-free and metal-free dental procedures. Many don’t want metals and metal alloys in their mouth because of the potential for toxins, corrosion and the harmful effects they have on the immune system.”

According to Dr. Hernandez, “Titanium or metal implants can create what is called ‘oral galvanism’ or ‘the battery effect’ in the mouth. Just think about any kind of battery from the one in your car to those used in your TV’s remote control. When you have metal in the mouth you are in effect turning your mouth into a battery.”

Holistic Dentistry And The Use Of Non-Metallic Dental Implants

The mouth is the gateway to every organ in the body and is interconnected to overall health. This makes oral health of primary importance.

As a holistic dentist, my focus is on helping my patients achieve and maintain exceptional oral health. Through the use of biocompatible, non-toxic restorative materials, I help my patients eliminate infections and achieve optimal oral health as well as restore healthy structural relationships between the jaw, head and neck.

A major component of my practice is dental implantology. Tooth loss occurs for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it is due to injuries, other times to a history of periodontal and other diseases. Implants are integral to the overall health of the mouth. To that end I use non-metallic ceramic dental implants made by Z-Systems.

Some people have allergic reactions to metals and with non-metallic implants, any allergic reaction is avoided, while the end result is absolutely beautiful. Z-Systems manufactures its unique Zirkolith® implants, which allow for extremely low adhesion of bacterial plaque. As you may know, plaque is the main cause of gum disease and one of the main reasons for tooth loss. Untreated periodontitis and also increase the risks during pregnancy as well as the risk of heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis.

The Zirkolith implants I use in my practice can be ground like natural teeth without problems and do not require complex accessories. Metal conducts electricity and can cause uncomfortable vibrations in the jaw. However, through the use of non-metallic Z-System implants complete metal-free restoration of your smile and the health of your mouth can be achieved.

How Holistic & Biological Dentistry Helps Your Whole Body

Most people start going to the dentist when they are children. Parents take their kids for regular checkups. Cavities get filled. It is determined whether or not a trip to the orthodontist is in order. Taking care of the teeth and gums is a habit most people continue throughout their lives. However there are some people who are so terrified of the dentist they fail to go to the dentist for many years until some painful problem comes up and they are forced to go.

Gum Disease Could Be Indicator Of More Serious Conditions

Even for those who go regularly to the dentist, for cleanings, they are often told that their teeth are not as clean as they should be or that their gums are still bleeding and that they need to be doing better with their home oral hygiene. Eventually, they may be told they have periodontal disease due to incorrect or inadequate dental hygiene. The fact is maybe some people don’t do a great job with their dental hygiene. However, there may be other underlying factors that contribute to periodontal disease. In many cases, it could be a heart condition, diabetes or an imminent stroke that is causing gum disease.

Connection Between Oral Health And Overall Health Not Commonly Understood

In my holistic dental practice, I employ and follow the Bale/Doneen Method and other biological services and techniques to incorporate the study of the link between and prevention of heart disease, diabetes, strokes and gum disease. Many silent conditions in the mouth, such as old root canals have been proven to contribute to elevated chances of having a severe stroke or heart disease. Additionally, cardiovascular incidents are preventable with proper care and attention to these underlying culprits, diet and other forms of cleaner living.

A holistic dental approach will look at other body systems in search for answers as to why specific breakdowns may be happening. For example; holistic dentists will look at metal toxicity, ph levels in saliva and use DNA testing for find ways to strengthen the body to counteract these offenses.

Biologic and holistic approaches to dentistry are not all that different from traditional approaches except we take a stricter approach to using materials that do not react negatively with the body, saliva and or surrounding tissues. When someone is suffering with ongoing periodontal disease and other body malfunctions, using a holistic dental approach may help get closer to the body’s favorable responses in healing.

Some of the services holistic & biologic dentist use are:

  • Bale/Doneen Method
  • Plasma Rich Growth Factor Technology (PRGF)
  • Oral DNA testing
  • Monitoring A1C & Ph testing
  • Safe amalgam removal
  • Ozone therapies and applications
  • Ph monitoring and modifications
  • Nutritional alkaline food modifications
  • Supplementation with activated charcoal, Vitamin D3, and others
  • Oil pulling
  • Natural toothpastes and rinses
  • Handling biotoxins and mold alleviation
  • & many other more natural approaches…

Time To Consider A Holistic Dentist

If you’ve been dealing with chronic gum disease you owe it to yourself to schedule a visit to your nearest holistic dentist. Or, you may want to take a trip to visit one if there isn’t one nearby. It could not only change the health of your mouth but also of your entire body.

The Body Electric And Holistic Dentistry

You may have been hearing more and more about Holistic Dentistry as holistic dentists are being sought out more frequently. But maybe you’re not quite sure what the difference is between a holistic dentist and a regular dentist. Let me clear things up for you.

As a group, Holistic Dentists work based on the fact that the body is an energy field made up of electrical charges. With that in mind, when you go to a holistic dentist for implants or fillings, nonmetallic materials are used so as not to disrupt the body’s electrical charge.

You see, our bodies are “electric”. Electricity is everywhere, even in the human body. Our cells are specialized to conduct electrical currents. Electricity is required for the nervous system to send signals throughout the body and to the brain making it possible for us to move, think and feel. If there are objects placed in the body that disrupt the electrical flow of signals, it can be very harmful.

Therefore, when you hear someone discussing “holistic” fillings and crowns, know that they aren’t anything mysterious. In fact they are simply materials that have no reactivity to electricity. That means no disruption to the healthy flow of signals throughout the body. For over 150 years, silver amalgam fillings have been used. However, we now know those fillings can disrupt the body’s electrical signals and, according to recent research may cause any number of health problems ranging from chronic fatigue-like symptoms to neurological problems, including Alzheimer’s disease.

There are proven methods to use while removing some of the older metallic materials to make it better and safer for all. But the bottom line is for dentistry not to create an electrical interruption.

In essence, holistic dentistry provides the proper conditions for the body to heal itself better and faster. With its focus on not introducing unnecessary chemicals or substances into the body that may harm tissues, organs or in any way interfere with the body’s natural ability to heal.

Nilo A. Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, Owner of Smilecreator Of Naples And Best-selling Co-author Reveals That Mouth Health Affects The Whole Body.

Naples dentist

Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the Smilecreator of Naples, writes about how a holistic approach to dentistry helps the whole body heal more naturally.

Naples, FL, Aug 13, 2019: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new article on his website entitled, “What’s Going On In Your Mouth Affects Your Whole Body,” in which Dr. Hernandez elaborates on the philosophy of holistic dentistry.

“We are living in an age where science and technology offer us unprecedented access to information,” writes Dr. Hernandez. He continues adding, “Our human curiosity has led us to delve into the science of the human body in search of the most advanced methods to preserve our health. Over time it has been discovered that a healthy diet and exercise is a tried and true method toward overall good health. However, what exactly is a ‘healthy diet’?”

As Dr. Hernandez points out, “There are diets that propose they are the ‘answer’ to all health problems that are diametrically opposite each other.” He expounds, “There’s the high-protein diet, the South Beach Diet, the Mediterranean Diet, the Paleo Diet, the fat diet. There are vegetarians and vegans and bone broth enthusiasts, there are those who restrict their flesh eating to fish and call themselves pescatarians. And there are those who only breathe and feel that they get all the nourishment necessary from the air that they breathe.” He asks, “See what I mean?” He concludes, “A “healthy diet” means different things to different people.”

“As a Holistic Dentist,” says Dr. Hernandez, “I may suggest a change of diet that you may or may not choose to follow. But of this I can assure you that whatever goes into your mouth can affect your entire body.” Dr. Hernandez states, “In fact, in my dental practice we employ and follow the BaleDoneen Method to incorporate the study and prevention of the link between heart disease, strokes and gum disease. Many silent underlying diseases of the mouth like old failing root canals have been proven to contribute to elevated chances of having a severe stroke or heart disease. Cardio vascular incidents are preventable with proper care and attention to these underlying culprits.”

According to Dr. Hernandez, “Holistic Dentistry is nothing more than providing the proper conditions for the body to help heal itself better and faster. Holistic dentistry’s focus includes not introducing unnecessary chemicals or substances into the body that may harm tissues, organs or our own ability to heal.”

Nilo A. Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, Owner of Smilecreator Of Naples And Best-selling Co-author Tells How He Went From Specializing In Implants To A Holistic Dental Practice

Naples dentist

Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, DICOI, best-selling co-author of the book, The Will To Win, with Brian Tracy, and owner of the Smilecreator of Naples, tells about how a health crisis led him to change how he practices dentistry.

Naples, FL, July 8, 2019: Owner and CEO of Smilecreator of Naples, Dr. Nilo Hernandez, Jr., DDS, has posted a new article on his website entitled, “From Implants To A Heart Attack To A Holistic Dental Practice.” Dr. Hernandez talks about how he gives his patients something to smile about.

As Dr. Hernandez states, “For many years I was stumped when a small percentage of my dental implant patients had a problem with their implants not taking hold.” He continues adding, “There was no obvious reason why this person shouldn’t have the same success as any other patient. I questioned myself first.” He asked himself, “Had I done something that prevented the implant from taking? Or was there an underlying reason for this failure to achieve good results?” He admits, “I asked myself these questions endlessly as I pursued every avenue possible.”

According to Dr. Hernandez, “Dental implants are considered to be the gold standard of tooth replacement. A long-standing track record of dental implants proves them to be the best functioning, best looking and best feeling of all the tooth replacement options ever created by man.” He elaborates further saying, “The national success ratio is over 95 percent.” “But,” he adds, “for the few people who have a failure, the failure rate is ultimately 100 percent. That was something I couldn’t handle easily. There had to be a better answer.”

“Then,” says Dr. Hernandez, “I had a heart attack. Little did I know that this health “crisis” was just the turning point I needed to find the answers I was looking for so desperately.” He relates, “I love the origin of the word “crisis”. I, to decide or discriminate, and to sift and separate. And that’s exactly what any crisis, health or otherwise, offers us humans.”

Dr. Hernandez points out, “My heart attack led to a series of tests that turned me back to my own profession. I received test results that indicated I should “see my dentist to find out if I have periodontal disease.” This surprising directive came as a result of a simple saliva test.” “In this test,” writes Dr. Hernandez, “the different kinds of and levels of bacteria are clearly shown with the markers of the body’s tolerance to those attacking bacteria.”
